Gloria is a realistic artist greatly influenced by the beauty of God's creation. Her objective is to capture, if only for a moment, the flow of colour or the dance of light as they act and react on the beauty of nature around us.
Born in Welland, Ontario, Gloria's interest started at an early age. This interest has developed over the years into a passion giving her enjoyment that she now shares with her students.
Teaching watercolour, acrylic and pastel for over fifteen years has in turn expanded her growth as an artist. Primarily self taught, she works equally in all mediums building layer upon layer of transparent colour to create the beauty and depth of her work. Gloria is a certified member of the Pastel Artists Association of Canada.
She presently teaches three classes a week from her home studio in Dunnville, Ontario as well as additional classes for The Pelham Art Association, Port Colbourne Art Association, Simcoe Art Association, and in the past for the Burlington Art Association. Gloria also teaches 1 or 2 day workshops throughout the Niagara Region.
Her original artwork has appeared in many shows over the years, including several Ontario galleries and retail stores in Bobcaygeon, Caledonia, Dunnville, Grimsby, Jordan, Smithville, Welland and St. Catharines.
Her passion for art grows stronger each year and she looks forward to reaching greater heights.
